Africa: The UCI , it remains only 9 days for the UCI , world Cycling Championship to take place at first time in Africa, Rwanda
Africa is going to host very big world’s sports event UCI, Union Cycliste Internationale, it is the first time this world cycling championship will take place in Africa since it was established in 1900 April 14 in Paris,France. The 2025 UCI Road World Championship will be the 98th edition. It will be hosted in Kigali, Rwanda, and will be the first time to be played in Africa as continent
The tournament will start from September 21 and end at September 28. From today it remains the 9.days.
What it means for Rwanda and Africa to host the 2025 UCI Road World Championship?
This events economically will leave Rwanda got many opportunities, especially for the businesses that involves in hospitality, like hotels, motels,restaurant,bars, lodges and the others. It is expected that more than 15000 visitors will be in Rwanda during the race, including 5000 officials, commissaires, monitors, 700 journalists. And the countries image will be visible, for there will be at least global audience around 300 millions cycling supporters.
However, the general profits from hosting this event on the continent, it is the sign that the world has started to trust African, that they can also host big events, remember from the 2010’s Football World Cup, was hosted in South Africa, and things went all well, so after that hosting the Football World Cup at the First time, the event was followed by others that were first hosted on Africa continent. So this 2025 UCI in Rwanda , will insist the African capacity to host the world class events, maybe that in the years to come there will still an increase in world class events that will be hosted in Africa
