
Africa. Kenya’s maize harvest will raise to 70 million bags(90 kg) in 2025 from 34.3 million bags recorded in 2022.
Kenya’s agriculture went all well this year, the maize comes in top leading crops grown by Kenyans, that’s why government too support the growing of maize. Fertilizers are provided on time, the farmers do receive trainings on how to grow and raise productive maize production.
- The Kenya’s Agriculture and Livestock Development Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Friday, said that Kenya in 2025 is going to have historic maize harvest of 70 million of 90 kg bag, from 67 million in last year 2024, snd that Kenya has managed to nearly double the maize harvest in three years, for in 2022 the maize harvest was 34.3 million bags.
The Cabinet Secretary also announced the national strategy , where the state itself will buy the maize production from farmers to fill the nation reserve.
The strategy that will protect Kenyans from any hunger problem.
