Uganda: Breaking, President Museveni announced his political retirement schedule, and asked Ugandans a great thing.
President Museveni is one of lasting presidents in the office in Africa, and on globe , as of today he is enjoying the near 40 years in the office, for he took the rule as President of Uganda on January 29, 1986. Where he replaced Tito Okello Lutwa, who had been president from July 1985 until Museveni’s National Resistance Army (NRA) seized Kampala and forced him.
“I will not contest again after 2026. I urge all Ugandans to come out in large numbers and vote for me for the very last time,” he said, assuring citizens he has key projects to accomplish before 2031.” Museveni said.
This Museveni’s is being taken as the very clever way to want to convince the Ugandans to vote for him. However, some other people may think whether HE Museveni is indirectly messaging his opponent contenders that they have still time to take the office, so they can let him win the upcoming 2026 elections.
