Finally president of Turkey, Erdogan revealed his side in Israel- Palestine ongoing conflicts.
The Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has finally said what he think is happening in Gaza by Israel, he confirmed that it is a complete genocide that is being made on Gaza people. And , again he insisted the all that are happening there must be over Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he is the one responsible for all these.
”I don’t think we can explain it in any other way. This is completely a genocide. And this genocide is caused by Netanyahu. Netanyahu, mercilessly, has unfortunately killed tens of thousands with this genocide,” Erdogan told Fox News on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday, September 22.2025.
And , when he was asked whether he see Hamas as the terrorism group, he said that , Hamas is a resistance group rather than terrorism group.
He added that , what Hamas did by attacking Israel, kill people and kidnap some others is not good , but a crime, and again he said Israel too has what it did to provoke Hamas, so he said that both sides committed crimes , and must be blamed.
There is no surprise from what Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said , for normally the diplomacy between Israel and Turkey is unstable . Although Turkey was the first muslim majority country to recognize Israel as a state in 1949, there after likely to happen tension between the countries diplomacy. Especially from 2000s ,when Recep Tayyip Erdogan took the Turkish presidential office, he didn’t support the Israel’s acts of wanting to occupy Gaza, and Palestine’s land. In 2010, the Mavi Marmara incident caused the countries to totally close their diplomacy, however in 2016, they restored the diplomacy, although it didn’t last long, for in 2018, Turkey expelled Israel’s ambassador for Gaza demonstrations and U.S declaration of Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.
However in 2022, both countries agreed to build stable diplomacy, but people can think, this Turkey’s choosing side, and backing Hamas as resistance group, maybe it will crash down the remaining last chance for Turkey and Israel to restore their diplomacy.
