After several hours of sleep, the body becomes dehydrated because it continues to lose water through breathing and sweating. Taking a glass or two of water immediately after waking up helps rehydrate the body, kick-start metabolism, and prepare the organs for daily functions. This simple habit restores fluid balance and supports the efficient functioning of the kidneys and digestive system.

Another important benefit of drinking water in the morning is its role in cleansing the body.
