Global: What next to Israel and Hamas , after UN general assembly backs two-state resolution?
On this Friday 12th September 2025, after many years of waiting, the UN general assembly came to back the two-state resolution to end the conflicts between Israel and Palestine. The number of all voters was 164 countries, where 142 backed the two states resolution, 10 went against the resolution and 12 abstentions.
This means that , there will be two state; the Israel state and Palestine state.
What did the resolution ask Hamas to do?
The resolution of two states, asks Hamas to release all hostages to Israel, to withdraw from the war, to leave Gaz administration to the official Palestine government.
However, the resolution too, did demand the two side to continue the negations to stop the war, for it’s been long time for Gaza and its people in unceasing Israel’s bombardment.
The Palestine’s foreign minister, did thank France and Saud Arabia for the two countries are in front to propose the two states resolution.
How did Israel and its allies react to the two states resolution?
This resolution came no longer 24 hours before. The Israel’s prime minister, B. Netanyahu announce to the world that there will be no Palestine state. So it is very easy to see and understand how Israel and its allies accept the resolution, they were not in agree with it , as they didn’t vote for it. However, they must follow it , if they all respect the UN and its works.
Why the two states resolution was highly backed?
Everyone knows how the war affects whole world not only the place it is taking place at! So the conflicts between Israel and Palestine are among of world’s lasting conflicts, and always the innocent people are killed, others made refugees. It was obvious that to make two states between Israel and Palestine can be a good resolution, where each state will be focusing on protecting its borders
