Rwanda, Ngoma district, in Easter province, sad news five (5) men arrested for killing a woman by behead her (cutting her neck) with knives , suspects include the husband of murdered victim.
The five men in Ngoma district are being followed by higher level prosecution of Ngoma for the case of having involved in killing the woman by beheading her.
The all five suspects men include the former husband of late behead woman.
The crime that are being followed on , it is done on September 26.2025 , Last Thursday , the prosecution’s report says that the former husband of the late killed woman, he is the one to plan the process of killing the his own woman, however sending the implementer killers.
The neighbors testifiers said that the family had used to undergone unceasing familial conflicts from long ago , and that the suspect husband of late behead woman had before tried to kill her but he was unsuccessful.
The other suspect include a 19 years-old young man who was found at field near the place where the woman was killed at.
He was found having blood on his arm watch, on his hands,into finger nails, and on his trousers.
The third suspect man, before the security officers he accepted that he killed the woman using a knife, and too he added that they had been planning to kill her days before with his former husband .
An offense of killing someone in Rwandan laws is punishable under the articles n°- 107 of the law n° 059/2023 of the 04.12.2023 changing the law of 68/2018 of the 30.08.2018 law determining offenses and penalties in general, if the are convicted with that crime, they will be sentenced with life imprisonment.
The familial conflicts and misunderstandings is case that is reaching to long step , for no two days that can pass without the news saying woman kills his husband , or a man kills his wife . In the research of 2017 by RGB, The Rwanda Governance Board, it revealed that over 50% of families in whole country live with family conflicts.
However , in 2018, the numbers increased to 60.7%, and reached 70.49% in 2019.
Some factors at the top of conflicts in families are include; the alcoholism, polygamy, misinterpretation of gender equality for both men and women, resources squandering, other the others.
The general advise , likely to be given to the family members, especially married couples, is to reach the administration levels to mediate then whenever they find themselves in conflicts and misunderstandings in their families.
