Rwanda: RDF will compensate everything for the three children who were hurt when RDF’s trainer drone made an accident in Rutsiro district.
The Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF), has announced that yesterday September 16 2025,at 13h:40′ pm hours , in Rutsiro district, their Unidentified Aerial Drone made an accident during its trainings, an they said that the cause of accident was the bad weather that caused the drone to loose its way. For the country has entered the rainy season, Autumn.
So , the three children who were getting back home from school were hurt and two of the children were taken to the nearest health center while one was taken to Murunda hospital too in the same district Rutsiro
It is the first time the RDF, Rwanda Defence Forces announced that any of their drone has made accident, as the use of drones in security trainings and operations has started in July 2016. The RDF also announced that they will provide the help and aid that will be needed, either for the hurt children or for their families.
The drones accidents are not likely to happen, however when it could happen, there is nothing more , for the drones are vehicles like others.
