Rwanda,Breaking news: UTAB university refuted the news to stop week program.
It has been being speculated that the UTAB, University of Technology and Arts of Byumba , will stop to register the new students in weekend program , the fake news said , it is the HEC, Rwanda’s Higher Education Council ordered the decision.
But, this Sunday, September 28,2025, on their X (former Twitter) account, the UTAB University has announced the announcement to be fraud and fake
The announcement was informing the students who registered in weekend program that unfortunately the weekend program had phased out according to the HEC regulations, and the announcement continued asking students who had already paid their registration fee of RF 39,500 , Thirty nine thousands and five hundred Rwandan Francs to write the letters asking for refund.
But , on their X account, UTAB said that the announcement people saw saying that the weekend program at UTAB university had phased out was fraud.
So , what students who already registered, and those who wish to go for studies there , the current information is that weekend program didn’t phase out, and the program will be followed as it afoot, however,to whom it may concern, you need to follow every new updates.
