Uganda: Bobi Wine’s NUP and PFF proposed to put in single coalesced candidature in 2026 elections
As it remains to 5 months to go for president elections, every contenders are seeking strategies for they will use to make sure that they will secure the win from Presidential electios, however it is not easy to take the office especially when it will require to gain the win over leading president Joel Kaguta Museveni who is in his near 40 years in the presidential office, so this is what is making the opposition politicians and parties to formulate every factor that will give them a chance to take the office .
Recently, the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) , has announced that they have idea to coalisce with other parties including the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) ,and the National Unity Platform (NUP) the Robert Kyagulanyi’s party.
To do all these is to form the single strong coalition that will be able to convince Ugandans to vote for them.
” Our discussions have progressed to the point where we are considering a joint freedom presidential candidate. We are also open to the idea of twin freedom candidates if our parties resolve in that direction,” the PFF said.”
The coalition also aims to end the Museveni’s four decades rule , which they called people are tired of it, that there need to be changes.
The twin candidature , according to ANT will include the two candidates, Major General (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu and NUP’s leader Robert Kyagulanyi , Known as Bobi Wine.
The political analysts, find the twin candidature can form something bigger, for Bobi Wine enjoys the supporters including urban youth and central Uganda voters, and MG (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu have more audience in the western Uganda , where Bobi Wine is listened not much as Muntu.
