Uganda, president Museveni promised to in near 20 billion Ugandan shilling after the 2026 elections.
The leading Ugandan president who also did put in his candidature in the upcoming presidential elections, HE Museveni has announced that if he will be elected president again in January 2026, he said he will increase the government’s support in arts and music.
He announced that during the ceremony of launching the album in his name, ‘Yoweri Music Album ‘ the event that was prepared by the UNMF, Uganda National Musician Federation led by Edirisa Musuza known as Eddie Kenzo in music.
President Museveni appreciated , Eddie Kenzo and his wife , Hon.Phiona Nyamutoro in service minister of mineral resources and mining .
HE president Museveni said that , although the government cannot be able to satisfy the musician needs, however it can give out its support and contribution to enhance the music industry. He said too that he was happy for the songs that are on the album.
The songs on album are the songs prepared to will be used in his electoral campaigns, and she gratified the songs as they are sung in traditional languages from different parts of Uganda.
He continued his word by saying that, after the NRM, National Resistance Movement took the office the in 1986, they started to by bringing Ugandans with peace and social security, however he de added that the step the country is reaching can be fit for them to then support the entertainment,and music in general.
So he took the time to announce that if he will be elected president, he will then add in music industry more than 20 billion Ugandan shillings.
